Numeracy Block

Here I will write about what I am learning during Numeracy Block.

Water Measurement

At school today we had to do an experiment with water. We had to punch a hole at a bottom of a cup and fill it up (with our finger over the hole). We would have a medicine cup, Every 5 seconds we would let the water drip into the cup and we would have have to record the data. After 60 seconds the experiment would be over. With the data we will do a line graph.

Scales

Every day we do numeracy it's not my best subject but I'm OK at it. Today we learnt about numbers. Say I had a small circle, a small square and a big square on a scale, you put 3000 in the small square and 6000 in the big square you take 3000 away from 6000 and the number that you get you put in the circle to make the scales balance. (Trust me we did harder ones than that!!) I think that I did good in the area of what we did.

Rain Forest Maths

Hi it's me here is a really good site on math. It's called Rain Forest Maths. It's really good it has 8 levels for different age groups. Pick an age that works for you. My favourite part in it is the graphs. There not to hard and not to easy! So pay attention while going though the activities.
