Reading-The World That We Want

Yesterday we read the book The World That We Want by Kim Toft. Our class made our own version of the book only it was based on the food in Antarctica. I will write our version of the book in a separate post because it is pretty big.

I have abandoned The Witch in the Lake. The book just didn't get to the point and it just got boring. I am starting a new book it is trilogy in one and there are 12 books. The author is Darren Shan. Vampire Blood is the name of the first trilogy. Alex.H recommended this book to me. I reckon that the front cover looks pretty cool so I might have a go at the story.

Reading Response on The Witch in the Lake

This book is amazing. The whole concept of the book is so good that the first two pages just pulled me in. Leo and Merilee are two children who are forbidden to see each other. In the book it says that the witch is so scary that if a grown man sees her he will get so scared that his speech will get smacked straight out of him. Leo loves danger he isn't really scared of anything he has no brothers or sisters and hi mother died of the flu. Merilee doesn't like getting in trouble or going the lake but she still likes to protect Leo when he gets into a bit of a pickle. Merilee's sister died of the black death but Merilee's family thinks it's the witch's power. Later on in the book I think that someone close to the children will die or they will find the witch and defeat her.

Wolves in the Sitee

The guided reading book for this week is Wolves in the Sitee. The book is amazing it's great. It's about a boy who's family are gone and he has no one, except for missus Redinski. Missus Redinski is the boy's neighbour who is letting him stay at his place while everything is going on. The city is deserted because of something. The author doesn't really tell you what's happening in the book because she might want us to think about the book and want us to think of all the possibilities.

The Witch In The Lake

I'm reading a really awesome book. I read the first 2 pages got so pulled in. I just stared it 5 minutes ago its so good. Here is a part out of the book that is really good.

'The witch will get you, look out, Snakes in her hair and eels on her chin, Look now and see what trouble you're in!'

The book is amazing. My teacher Mrs.J recommended it to me. Here is a picture of the book.
